The Oregon Coast spans 362 miles of majestic cliffs, beaches as far as the eye can see, historic lighthouses, and so much more! Picking the perfect spot can be daunting with so much to choose from. Do you want to read your vows on top of rock formations as the waves crash behind you? Do you want to exchange your rings atop the cliffs facing the golden sunset? Here are a few of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast:

Lost Boy Beach
A secluded coastal area near Oceanside, Oregon, known for its natural beauty. The beach is nestled between Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site and Short Beach, separated by prominent basalt cliffs. Unlike most beaches on the Oregon Coast, Lost Boy Beach requires careful planning and an adventurous spirit.
Lost Boy Beach can be accessed two ways; from Short Beach to the north or by trekking through a man-made tunnel in Maxwell Point at low tide. Accessing the tunnel at high tide is impossible as it is completely submerged, so knowing the tide tables is critical. Although tales of those who swept into the Ocean at high tide haunt this hidden gem, Lost Boy Beach offers a postcard view of the Pacific Ocean.
The most important thing to consider when you visit is the tide table, which can be easily found online at The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website. Another important consideration is ensuring you have footwear suitable for navigating wet and rocky terrains. But don’t let these deter you, views are well worth the work!

Hug Point Beach
Hug Point State Recreation Site boasts a picturesque coastal view located 5 miles from Cannon Beach. With vast sandy beaches, waterfalls, and lush coastal forests, Hug Point Beach provides stunning backdrops for unforgettable vows and world class photos.
Sandy beaches and untamed forest backdrops welcome you as you enter the beach. Tide pools at low tide, waterfalls cascading over sandstone cliffs, and sea caves and alcoves offer different surroundings that will bring a wide variety of images to life.
Whether you're into a barefoot beach ceremony or a rugged cliffside vow exchange, Hug Point beach has a spot that fits your love story.

Meyers Beach, located along Oregon's southern coast near Gold Beach, is renowned for its expansive sandy shores, dramatic sea stacks, and golden sunsets. Just a pull off from Highway 101, you can easily access this dreamy elopement location. If you’re looking for intimacy with all the beauty the Oregon Coast has to offer without the bustle of Cannon beach, Meyers beach is the go to spot!
Meyers beach is covered with prominent sea stacks and rock formations; a perfect setting to read your vows or frolic under the golden sunset. During low tide, tide pools form around the sea stacks revealing colorful marine life and a stunning space for your ceremony.
Visitors have described Meyers beach as a breathtaking destination with easy access and stunning vistas. If you want a quintessential Oregon Coast beach as your elopement backdrop, you cannot go wrong with picking Meyers beach.

Cannon Beach
Famous for its dramatic sea stacks, Cannon Beach is for those looking for a classic beach experience. The iconic Haystack Rock stands as a majestic backdrop, providing a natural, breathtaking scene for your ceremony.
Cannon Beach has a variety of stunning spots, from forested trails and lush coastal bluffs to charming local venues like boutique inns and art galleries. It’s relatively easy to get to, and while it's remote enough to feel like an escape, it's not difficult to access from nearby cities like Portland.
Cannon feels like a small coastal village with friendly locals and quirky shops. After your ceremony, you can stroll the beach, grab a meal at a cozy restaurant, or do an impromptu art walk.

Ecola State Park is just a short drive from Cannon Beach and only about 90 minutes from Portland, making it easily accessible for locals and out-of-state couples. The park is also well-maintained with parking, restrooms, and easy access to charming viewpoints, making it convenient for an elopement day with minimal hassle.
Ecola State Park’s unique mix of natural beauty and seclusion makes it a choice spot for eloping couples. The park provides sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, rocky coastlines, and misty forested areas. Perched on a bluff, you can have a gorgeous panoramic backdrop for your ceremony. The park has several secluded nooks, you can feel like you're in your own private paradise, just the two of you.
